Glass fiber reinforced plastic arch cover plate is made of glass fiber as reinforcement material, special thermosetting resin and anti-aging additives as matrix material. It is made of three-layer structure of outer surface layer, reinforcement layer and inner surface layer.

The outer surface layer is a contact layer with atmosphere and sunlight. It needs anti-aging, anti ultraviolet and beautiful appearance. The thickness is not less than 0.3mm.
The middle layer is the load-bearing structural layer of GRP arched cover plate for rain, snow and personnel maintenance, and it is the main bearing layer, which needs to have sufficient strength. The reinforcement layer is made of unsaturated polyester resin 3301 as the matrix, and the non alkali glass fiber checkerboard as the reinforcement. The resin content is not less than 60%, and the thickness is not less than 8mm.

The inner surface layer (resin rich layer) is a layer contacting with the corrosive gas in the pool, which needs to have a resin rich layer on the inner surface that is resistant to temperature, corrosion, seepage and static electricity. The inner surface rich resin layer is made of vinyl ester antistatic resin, glass fiber alkali free chopped felt, with glue content not less than 75% and thickness not less than 1.5mm.

Due to the different specifications of the pool, it can be calculated by stress analysis and produce different span FRP arch cover plates according to the design requirements to ensure sufficient bearing strength for normal maintenance, patrol inspection and walking safety, as well as to prevent rainwater from accumulating on the top of the pool.
